This week, our Word of the Week is KINGDOM. The Kingdom of God is present right now when people choose to follow Jesus’s teachings. The Kingdom of God is also something that will be fully revealed in the future, what we normally call Heaven. When we celebrate Christ the King of the Universe, we celebrate the idea that Jesus Christ is the King of this spiritual Kingdom. He is the ultimate example of what the Kingdom is all about: power expressed through love and service. He ruled by healing the sick, teaching the truth, and giving His life for others.
This week, we are in ORDINARY TIME, which means our liturgical colour is what? (Clue: This is the colour of our computer background) Tick the correct colour on your sheet.

In our hub of schools, the De La Salle Hub, it is also a time for us to come together for our annual mission of serving those who are less fortunate in our community. Starting next week, we want you to start collecting as much as you can in your forms for our local foodbank. Items such as dry food goods like, pasta, rice pouches and tinned foods, as well as toiletries, toothbrushes and soap are all things that can be donated. Together, let us build the Kingdom of God on earth through love and living out our school motto ‘We Shall Serve’.
On your form time prayer sheets, we would like you to indentify 2 Catholic Social Teaching principles that we can live out by donating to the foodbank and explain how it links.

Sincere thanks to our Sixth Form CAFOD Ambassadors, Lourdes and Rome teams who helped to lead in Sunday’s Mass and spoke as witnesses to the faith about their recent pilgrimage to Rome and upcoming pilgrimage to Lourdes.
