cy and Eco Stewards Mission Teams have prepared a Celebration of the Word (COTW) for you to share in, as on Thursday 5th June we are sharing in World Environment Day.
In your form rooms, a set of plasters and an A3 sheet of world map-like paper should have been delivered. The link to the COTW will arrive by email to complete tomorrow or on Monday so that you can share in this and complete the mission, sticking your healing ways onto the world map paper, which will all be returned to the chapel for the Chaplaincy and Eco Stewards Mission Teams to build into one world display of our pledge to heal the world.
As you prepare to share in this tomorrow or on Monday, start to think of ways that you can be more of an Eco Steward in your daily life. We have already started to collect litter as forms and our Eco Stewards Team are planting and developing a bug house zone, so think of ways that you can contribute.

DAY 1 – WHAT’S IN THE WORD?

This week we are celebrating Pentecost, the day when the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles which empowered them to speak in different languages and boldly spread the gospel.

DAY 3 – OUR RESPONSE TO GOD’S MESSAGE

Today, to respond to our scripture, we are going to be doing something LECTIO DIVINA. This is Latin for ‘Divine Reading’ and it is a type of meditative prayer we can do on scripture. Use a few minutes to be still and try not to be disturbed.
- For the first stage, read the passage below in your head and then reflect on the following questions. What is God saying to you through these words? How does this connect with your own life? (1-2 minutes)

2. For the second stage, read the passage in your head again. In the passage, the disciples are blessed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. What gifts of the Holy Spirit are you seeing in this passage? (1-2 minutes)

3. For the third stage simply, rest in God’s presence. Just be with Him, allowing the words and images to sink into your heart without needing to analyse them further. Let God speak to you in the silence. (1-2 minutes)
