This half-term we are going to be exploring 2025 being a Jubilee Year of the Church. Pope Francis has announced that 2025 is a Jubilee Year with the theme of the it being ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. Jubilee years of the Church are founded in Biblical roots and is a great time for spiritual growth, communal celebration, and renewed commitment to living out the Gospel.
This week, we are going to be writing our own acrostic poem for the Jubilee with the word ‘JUBILEE’ being what we should be spelling out. With each new line of the poem start with a different letter of the word ‘JUBILEE’ so it can be spelt vertically. You might want to be base the poem on the theme of ‘celebration’ or might want to base it on the theme of ‘hope’. Below is an example of what could be done.
