DAY 1 – WHAT’S IN THE WORD?
Before we begin this form time prayer, let’s take a moment to light our candle and spend some time in silence thinking about all the things that are on our hearts and minds today…
We begin this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
This week, the Eco-team have took over our ‘What’s in the Word?’.

This week, we are in EASTERTIDE, which means our liturgical colour is what? (Clue: This is the colour of our computer background) Tick the correct colour on your sheet.
The Word of the Week this week is FAITH. Make sure this is written on the sheet and your form is written in the form box.

As we are thinking all about World Earth Day on Wednesday, discuss with the people next to you what ways can our faith influence the choices you make about the environment in your everyday life?
As form time prayer comes to an end, we pray for the Holy Spirit to inspire us as we pray together
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
Amen
And kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created.
And you will renew the face of the earth.
We end this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
DAY 2 – GOD’S MESSAGE FOR US
Before we begin this form time prayer, let’s take a moment to light our candle and spend some time in silence thinking about all the things that are on our hearts and minds today…
We begin this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Our scripture this week comes from the Gospel of Matthew
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew
GLORY TO YOU O LORD
‘He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”’
MATTHEW 17:20
The Gospel of the Lord
PRAISE TO YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST
The image of a mustard seed is important. It’s tiny, almost insignificant, yet it grows into something large. The point isn’t about having more faith in a measurable sense, but about having genuine faith, even in small amounts, that is placed in God.

Make sure you put the scripture reference (MATTHEW 17:20) in the scripture box on your sheet.
Write your form’s thoughts about the above in the message box.

As form time prayer comes to an end, we pray for a deeper understanding of the teachings of the Bible. With all these things in our mind, we pray together, with Our Lady of Lourdes…
Hail, Mary, full of grace,
Amen
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
We end this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
DAY 3 – OUR RESPONSE TO GOD’S MESSAGE
Before we begin this form time prayer, let’s take a moment to light our candle and spend some time in silence thinking about all the things that are on our hearts and minds today…
We begin this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Let’s remind ourselves of our scripture:
‘He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”’
MATTHEW 17:20
On Wednesday, we are celebrating World Earth Day. Earth Day is an annual event held on April 22 to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage people to take care of the planet.
It began in 1970, in response to growing concerns about pollution and damage to the natural world. What started in the United States has now become a global movement, with millions of people in over 190 countries taking part.
Watch the video below to find out what we can do to help our Earth.

In the Response section, write examples of the things we can do to save our planet.
Let us pray…
Creator God, help us to care for the Earth with wisdom, gratitude, and responsibility, so that all life may flourish.
Amen
We end this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

DAY 5 – THE CELEBRATION
Before we begin this form time prayer, let’s take a moment to light our candle and spend some time in silence thinking about all the things that are on our hearts and minds today…

As we approach this important time in your lives as Year 11 students, we move into a modified format of prayer, responding to your voice and journeying with you through the exam period, keeping God at the centre.
Your new prayer journey will follow this pattern:
Monday – Introduction to the Word of the Week, set up a prayerful mission on your ‘We Shall Serve by…’ board and pray the prayer on the Form Time Prayer resources
Tuesday – Scripture and prayer
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – A daily prayer written by and for Year 11 students, followed by a prayer of the church
Please continue to send in any prayer intentiosn you’d like us to pray in the days and weeks ahead and remember that the chapel is always open for you, and we are all here to support you.
You don’t need to complete the form time prayer sheets from now on, but must ensure your prayer board displays the correct Word of the Week each week and that your ‘We Shall Serve by…’ board is updated every Monday with the mission you have set for yourselves.
Please speak to us if you need any help!
