Prudence is all about taking the time to think before we act. In a moment we are going to spend some time thinking to ourselves about the 3 steps of Prudence: THINK, DECIDE and ACT. Let’s take a moment to be still. If you’d like, close your eyes, or just look down so you are not easily distracted.
Imagine yourself standing at a crossroads. In front of you are two paths. One looks smooth and easy. The other looks steeper and more challenging. Both are open to you. Now pause. What do you notice about each path? Who might be with you? What might be waiting at the end? Take a moment just to think carefully before you move.

Now picture yourself choosing one of the paths. What helps you to decide? Is it your friends? Your faith? Your values? Something deep inside? Notice how it feels to make that choice. Let it settle in your heart.

As we ponder the concept of prudence and reflect this week on ways that we can exercise prudence in our daily lives, we have a challenge to take on, as a Sixth Form. On Monday 6th October, Bishop Patrick is coming to visit All Saints and he’ll be spending Form Time with us, as a Sixth Form. He loves to hear your voices and to engage in dialogue with you, so, spend time today, and over the course of this week, generating questions you’d like to ask Bishop Patrick. these could be about faith, life, the world, the Church….or anything at all! There is no topic off limits and he’s passionate about hearing what young people have to say.
Please write down your questions, with the name(s) of the person/people who is/are going to ask the question(s) and your form, then send them to the Chaplaincy office by Thursday. This doesn’t mean you can’t ask questions on the day, but it provides a starting point, as Bishop Patrick isn’t coming to talk ‘to’ you but ‘with’ you.
