St. Carlo Acutis is an amazing person we can all aspire to be like. He is especially important in our community because he is also our Fidem house Patron Saint and one thing that he teaches us is that ‘the Eucharist is [his] highway to heaven’.
In forms, we are going to come up with 3 steps on your own ‘highway to heaven’. Click on each step to find out how we can create our own ‘Highway to Heaven’.
STEP 1
Step 1: Find your ‘Highway’ – The first step is to realise a passion that can be a way to express love and goodness. Discuss in your pairs about how you can use your unique skills to make the world a better place, just like Carlo used his tech skills.
STEP 2
Step 2: Avoid the ‘Traffic Jams’ – Take some time now to close your eyes and think about what gets in the way of you being your best selves. For Carlo, it was things like like selfishness or wasting time on things that don’t matter. For you it could be the same or it could be unkind words, arguments with siblings or friends, or giving up on a project too quickly. Spend 1 or 2 minutes with your eyes closed reflecting on this.

Step 3: Be an ‘Original’ – One thing that Carlo Acutis said is “All people are born as originals, but many die as photocopies.” This means being true to who you are and what you believe.
