DAY 1 – WHAT’S IN THE WORD?
Before we begin this form time prayer, let’s take a moment to light our candle and spend some time in silence thinking about all the things that are on our hearts and minds today…
We begin this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
This week we move on to the theme of JOURNEY. We are constantly on many different types of Journey in our life and we are currently on our Journey with Form Time Prayer. Fill in the Forms below all about your forms journey with Form Time Prayer.

This week, we are in LENT, which means our liturgical colour is what? (Clue: This is the colour of our computer background) Tick the correct colour on your sheet.
The Word of the Week this week is Journey. Make sure this is written on the sheet and your form is written in the form box.

As form time prayer comes to an end, we pray for the Holy Spirit to inspire us as we pray together
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
Amen
And kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created.
And you will renew the face of the earth.
We end this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
DAY 2 – GOD’S MESSAGE FOR US
Before we begin this form time prayer, let’s take a moment to light our candle and spend some time in silence thinking about all the things that are on our hearts and minds today…
We begin this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Our scripture this week comes from the book of Proverbs.
A reading from the book of Proverbs
‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.’
PROVERBS 3:5-6
The Word of the Lord
THANKS BE TO GOD
Answer the following questions in pairs or as a form:
What journeys in your life do you need God’s guidance?
Can you recognise a time when God has shown you guidance on a previous journey?

Make sure you put the scripture reference (PROVERBS 3:5-6) in the scripture box on your sheet.
Write your form’s thoughts about the above in the message box.

As form time prayer comes to an end, we pray for a deeper understanding of the teachings of the Bible. With all these things in our mind, we pray together, with Our Lady of Lourdes…
Hail, Mary, full of grace,
Amen
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
We end this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
DAY 3 – OUR RESPONSE TO GOD’S MESSAGE
Before we begin this form time prayer, let’s take a moment to light our candle and spend some time in silence thinking about all the things that are on our hearts and minds today…
We begin this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Let’s remind ourselves of our scripture:
‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.’
PROVERBS 3:5-6
To respond to our scripture, we are going to be thinking about our journeys in life. Imagine you’re carrying a backpack. Not a real one, but everything you bring with you on your journey.
I want you to think about three things you might have in that backpack.
- A strength.
Something positive about you that helps you keep going. It could be something like determination, kindness, humour, or resilience.
2. A support.
Someone or something that helps you on your journey. That could be friends, family, a teacher, your faith, or even something you enjoy doing.
3. A challenge.
Something that makes the journey harder sometimes. Maybe it’s stress, fear, pressure, or something else you’re dealing with.
Now, if you’re comfortable, turn to the person next to you and share one thing from your list.
The important thing to remember is this: everyone’s backpack looks different. We’re all carrying different things, some helpful, some heavy.
But the good news is, we don’t have to carry everything alone and we can keep adding good things to our backpack as we go.
As you head into today, just remember what you’re carrying and what might help make the journey a little lighter.

In the Response section, write examples of some of the people who help us on your journeys.
Let us pray…
Loving God,
Amen
Thank you that each of us is on a journey.
Thank you for the strengths you’ve given us
and the people who support us along the way.
When things feel heavy or difficult,
help us to keep going,
to ask for help when we need it,
and to support others on their journey too.
We end this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
DAY 4 – OUR MISSION
Before we begin this form time prayer, let’s take a moment to light our candle and spend some time in silence thinking about all the things that are on our hearts and minds today…
We begin this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Thinking about all that we have discussed about the word of the week and our scripture this week, it is time to set our MISSION. The mission should be our way of trying to work as individuals or as a community (whichever you choose), so that we can share the message from this week with the wider community.
‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.’
PROVERBS 3:5-6

Discuss in your form what mission you want to set for yourselves on the theme of JOURNEY and then write it on the form time prayer sheet.
Example
Our mission for the theme of JOURNEY is it to thank the people who help us on our journey, just like Simon of Cyrene helped Jesus.
As form time prayer comes to an end, we pray for help to complete our mission. With all this in mind, we pray together…
Glory be to the Father
Amen
and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning
is now, and ever shall be
world without end.
We end this form time prayer with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Prayer leaders, please make sure your form time prayer sheet is handed in at the chaplaincy office, after Form Time Prayer on Friday. Please post it under the office door if we are in Mass.
