As we enter the second week of Ordinary Time and are still at the beginning of a new year, this is a perfect time to take on ‘discipleship’ which is also one of Bishop Patrick’s three spiritual themes. This week, we challenge you to reignite our commitment to discipleship as a school community, by looking at our school environment. On your form boards, check the word of the week is written up. Make sure the correct liturgical colour has been ticked on your board, as well as on your sheet. Use your ‘We Shall Serve By…’ board today to record ways that you will commit, as a form, to following the example of Jesus this week and throughout the term. This could be a simple commitment to making an effort, to choosing kindness, to speaking the truth, to standing up for what is right…or it could be a mixture of these and other things!
