On Friday, our Year 8 students participated in a retreat day centered on our “Common Home.” The group enjoyed a reflective walk to St. Philip Neri Church to celebrate Mass, strengthening our bonds as a faith community.
Throughout the day, students engaged deeply with Catholic Social Teaching, specifically exploring Stewardship and the Common Good. We looked at our responsibility to protect the environment and support one another in our shared world.
To conclude the afternoon, we drew inspiration from the life of St. Francis of Assisi, reflecting on his profound love for creation and how his example can guide our own actions today. It was a wonderful day of prayer, discussion, and renewed commitment to our planet.
